Born in Mexico City, February 4th 1973. He grew up living with his father and stepmother, and later, with his mother and sister. In 1992, he chose to go seek out his dream of becoming an actor. Carlos Thions studied at the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA, 1993-1995; pursuing a BFA in Acting. In 1995, he returned to México, where he met Myron J. Gold, then Artistic Director of the Theatre Workshop of Mexico. In December of that year, he played Victor in Four Dogs and a Bone, by John Patrick Shanley. He was then invited by Casting Director, Manuel Teil, to audition for a part in Carlos García Agraz's Última llamada (1996/I). He was cast as Junior, a young grass roots film producer. Not long after that, he was invited to join the two year program at the New Actors Workshop (1996-1998), headed by Mike Nichols, Paul Sills and George Morisson. He decided to get this professional training, developed from the techniques of Strasberg, Spolin, Meisner, Linklater and Grotowsky, amongst others, in New York.Back in Mexico, he participated in various film and theater projects: Assistant Director in Mauricio Jiménez´ Puerto Infinito; playing El Francés in Christian González's grassroots movie Banda del Antrax, La (2002). In 2005, in Los Angeles, California, he collaborated in some student projects at USC's Peter Stark Program, and got some coaching at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. He is now living in Paris, France.
