Antonia (Toni) Ellis is currently working in New York City as the Co-Producer on the CBS-TV series, Love Monkey. Prior to this, she was a Producer on the award-winning HBO series, Sex & The City and Co-Producer of the Emmy Award-winning mini-series, The Corner. She also received a Peabody Award.While in Los Angeles, Antonia was a Producer on a television sit-com pilot for DreamWorks/ABC entitled Immediate Family while also working at DreamWorks SKG Television as a Production Executive and as the Head of Post Production for nearly three years (1996-1998). Before joining DreamWorks during its start-up, she was the U.S. Supervising Producer on the reality-based French co-production/television series Ushuaia: Adventures Of Nicolas Hulot. Ms. Ellis' first producing job was as Associate Producer on the CBS-TV drama series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Additional television credits include the series, Sessions for HBO and Grapevine for CBS-TV.Her domestic and international production background began in feature films, working with such companies as the BBC (London), Columbia Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, Morgan Creek Productions and Universal Studios. In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles to work as Joe Roth's assistant, then Chairman of 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Thereafter, she worked as Billy Crystal's assistant on City Slickers. Her other feature credits include Parenthood, Young Guns II, Coupe De Ville, Red Shoe Diaries, Ford Fairlane and Married To The Mob. Antonia began her early career in stadium rock concert promotion/production and the record industry, which led to radio announcing as an On-Air Personality/Producer.Antonia completed her course work at Harvard University for a Masters of Liberal Arts Degree in Literature and Creative Writing, and is currently working on her thesis. A portion of the first draft of her screenplay, My Clara, was published in Harvard's Charles River Review. She earned her B.S. in Communications at Miami University (Ohio) with an emphasis in Television & Radio Production and holds a Music Minor in Classical Piano Performance, including a semester abroad in London, England at Ealing College. Additional post-graduate course work includes Robert McKee's Story Structure, Writers' Boot Camp, AFI's Story Analysis, and Robert Bordiga's Nuts & Bolts Seminar.As co-writer/producer, projects in development include the feature film, My Clara, based on the true story of Clara and Robert Schumann. Additionally, she is slated as the Executive Producer of the independent feature film, Ice Time starring hockey legend, Phil Esposito, and Nick Mancuso, as well as a TV series based on her cookbook proposal entitled Sugar-Free Baking For The Neurotic.Antonia is a member of the Academy of TV & Radio, American Film Institute and Women in Film. She previously held a position on the Advisory Board for the Caption Center (division of WGBH). An Ohio native, Ms. Ellis considers herself bi-coastal between Los Angeles and Manhattan. She has also lived and worked in London, England and Miami, Florida. Her hobbies include music, yoga, scuba diving, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, sugar-free baking and knitting.
