Born in Hythe, Kent in southeast England, son of Alan and Elsie White. Ben made his professional stage debut in rep at the Leas Pavilion Theatre, Folkestone.Ben has worked in theatre since 1986, as well as appearing in small TV and indie film roles, including Driven (1998). He appeared in the West End production of Hurly-Burly in 1997 with Rupert Graves and Andy Serkis. Since 1999 he has toured with the Long Overdue Theatre Company, playing Macduff in Macbeth and Inspector Bertozzo in Accidental Death of an Anarchist.For some time he has worked with John Rackham as a leading member of British experimental fringe theatre company Rogues' Yarn, touring extensively throughout the UK, and appearing in what they now regard as a second home, the San Francisco Fringe.
