J. Teddy Garces is a native New Yorker raised uptown in Washington Heights. He is the third child of Ivelisse Fanith and Joseph Garces Sr. His deep interest in film and inborn need to create and express has drawn him to acting. J. Teddy moved to Los Angeles, California in 2005 to continue building on a career he started in New York. As an actor he hopes to always find the very gritty, very real and dirty forms of drama in a story and in a role no matter how large or small the project. He admires Tony Scott, Michael Mann and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu for being able to dirty up a film. He also deeply respects Denzel Washington & Don Cheadle for being so honest in their work, Benicio Del Toro and Christopher Walken for their unpredictability and David Mamet for being David Mamet. J.
