Paul Michael Bloodgood was born in Redmond, Washington. He spent a great deal of his youth "on the road", with his rock musician father, Michael Bloodgood, touring the entire United States and Western Europe until the age of 12. Continuing his travels, Paul Michael performed with the prestigious Columbia Boys Choir in the Czech Republic and Germany, followed by various solo and background studio recordings, including those of his current band, ThirsT. One of their songs, co-written by Paul Michael, climbed the charts to number 3 on MP3.com in its first week. Paul Michael began his classical ballet training with Don Synder at the L'Academie de Danse. He completed his formal training on full scholarship at the world renowned Pacific Northwest Ballet, and received his first professional company contract at 19 with Ballet Pacifica in Irvine, California and then continued with Ballet Austin in 2002. Paul Michael has had the privilege of touring to Hawaii, Slovenia, Italy, the Joyce Theater in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as well as performing with Grammy Award Winning artist, Shawn Colvin. Professionally, Paul Michael has performed principal roles such as Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew, Cavalier in The Nutcracker and Le Chevalier in Emmy Award Winner Robert Sund's, Liasons. Paul Michael has created over 35 original works, and his past repertoire includes Twyla Tharp, Lynne Taylor-Corbet, Choo-San Goh, Dwight Rhoden, Ginger Thatcher, Stephen Mills and George Balanchine, among many others. As an actor, Paul Michael performed in various musical theater productions as a child - and more recently as the Fairground Boy in Carousel - and then began actively pursuing roles in film and television in his late teens. In one of Paul Michael's first projects in Los Angeles, he was seen alongside Mena Suvari in the music video "Teenage Dirtbag" for the feature film, Loser. Other notable appearances include television's Mostly True Stories and feature films such as Forest Whitaker's First Daughter, Lee Tamahori's XXX: State of the Union and Michael Bay's blockbuster, Transformers. Paul Michael has worked on over 20 independent film projects, including William D. Hogan's award-winning Soldier of God, Terry Zwigoff's Art School Confidential, Steve Wolf's Bending Light, Chris Obal's The Last Day of Joseph Goebbels, Jim O'Quinn's The War Inside and Rene Hinojosa's The Flag and upcoming Templar: Honor Among Thieves.
