Rob Evans grew up on the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama. He went to college at Sewanee, a.k.a. The University of the South, where he studied Theatre Arts at the esteemed Tennessee Williams Center. While at Sewanee, Rob enjoyed such roles as Edmund in King Lear, Sky Masterson in Guys & Dolls & Tom in The Glass Menagerie. He was awarded the Chip Gilliam scholarship for Excellence in the Theatrical Arts (Acting).In 2003, Rob attended the intensive summer conservatory at the historic Michael Howard Acting Studios, where he further honed his skills.After graduating from Sewanee in 2004, Rob was fortunate enough to get a bit part in the small indy film The _Novice, The (2004)_ . Soon afterwards he landed a supporting role as Orville Gilley in the historic drama Heavens Fall (2006), where he worked opposite Leelee Sobieski. The film also starred Timothy Hutton, Anthony Mackie & David Strathairn.Rob moved to New York City in the fall of 2004. Within his first week there, Rob was cast in the role of Fleance, in an off-off Broadway production of Macbeth. In the following year, Rob performed in Moises Kaufman's The Laramie Project, Israel Horovits' Line, and numerous other new plays, as well as several short films.Rob continued to work on his craft at the legendary Stella Adler School of Acting. There he studied (and continues to study) film technique with esteemed teacher Ron Burrus. Rob also started to study and perform comedic improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade.In 2006, Rob played Billy in the Equity Showcase "The Collected Works of Billy The Kid" by Michael Ondaatje (The English Patient). Rob then starred in a WWI feature entitled Over Here, Over There, in which he played a young soldier dealing with post traumatic stess syndrome. Rob also starred in the coming of age film, Blue Hole (2007).Rob recently finished a film based on the Sam Shepard short story "Cruising Paradise," he also portrayed serial killer Keith Jesperson on Discovery's Most Evil.
