Valyn was born on September 4, 1985 to parents Ed and Lisa Hall. She has an older sister (also an aspiring actress) Amber, and a younger sister (an aspiring musician) Lindsey. Valyn grew up in Cobb County Georgia, where they moved around a lot. Eventually, her mother settled in Dallas, Georgia (Paulding County). Valyn attended Paulding County High School for about a semester until she decided that the Georgia school system was a load of crap (and no one blames her for that.) She decided to move to Alabama to live with her father and his British fiance, Claire where she could homeschool.Three years later, she moved back to Dallas to be closer to old and new friends. In August of that same year, she won first place in the Wilhemina Talent Agency Contest in Florida. Soon there after she was picked up by her agent, Brian, and packed her bags for New York. There she lived with her older sister Amber. She remained there for a few months, until pilot season started in California, and she was carted off to Los Angeles.
