Has a brother, Liam O'Donnell, who is also an actor/writer.Has an uncle, Lawrence O'Donnell, who writes for film and television.He is 100% Irish, third generation Irish-American. His great grandfather, Patrick O'Donnell, was a boxer of some note while serving in the White Fleet Navy during WWI. Patrick's entire body was covered in tattoos, ending at his wrists, ankles, and neck. ""Jab 'n' Jump Back"", Kevin's first play, is about Patrick.Actor Dylan Baker played his father, Kevin O'Donnell Sr. in the film ""A Case of Deadly Force"" based on the book written by his uncle Lawrence O'Donnell.
